Clues for Writing:

GETTING ORGANIZED
: when you write your composition, follow the steps below:

- Introduction: establish the topic clearly. Briefly state what you will say in the body and how you will conclude.
- Body: the first paragraph should explain either the advantages or disadvantages. Start by explaining what is less important for you.
In the second paragraph, explain what is more important for you.
Remember to use connectors of contrast such as although, even though, though, whereas, while, despite, in spite of, but, yet, however to show contrast and to make a transition from one paragraph to another.
- Conclusion: use connectors of conclusion such as to sum up or in conclusion to state your position. Briefly state what led you to your
opinion. You may wish to make a recommendation or a prediction.

PUNCTUATION: FULL STOP (.) We use the full stop:
1. At the send of a sentence, except questions and exclamations.
2. With shortened words: pron., adj., adv.
3. When abbreviating geographical positions: N. Spain
4. With abbreviations. Ave., e.g., U.K.
- Never write a full stop, but rather a comma, after informal greetings (Dear Mary,) or with thousands (1000, 000)
